Dr Fan finished his postdoctoral fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Stanford University School of Medicine, served as an associate professor, mentor for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, and principal investigator at the Reproductive Health Research Laboratory, the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and an honorary associate professor at the Shenzhen Medical Reproductive Medicine Center of the University of Hong Kong. Dr Fan was awarded the Shenzhen Overseas High-Level Category B Talents and selected as a member in the High-Risk Pregnancy Management Professional Committee of the China Maternal and Child Health Association.

Dr. Fan's research interests covered various stages of life events. These include embryonic development and intrauterine events during the early stages, health management for youth and adults with a focus on disease prevention, detection/screening, and precision treatment during the middle stages, and chronic disease management for elders, cancer screening and treatment, functional monitoring, functional recovery, and healthy aging during the late stages of life. Dr. Fan's published his of research results in many internationally renowned journals. His multidimensional approach to research, spanning different life stages and aspects of health, makes he has a comprehensive and holistic perspective on healthcare and medical research.
